December 2016 "The cottage was lovely and clean and warm and cosy. We enjoyed our time there and loved its rural location. It is always a pleasure to be able to take our dogs with us and hope that we left it clean and tidy. It was great that the dogs could go in the garden which was secure so they couldn’t wander off anywhere. We are hoping to return in 2017."
September 2016 "The cottage was fantastic, well equipt and loved the fire! Great value for money"
July 2017 "We were very pleased with Horsegames Barn, it was light and spacious and the layout of the rooms was very convenient. The utility room was very useful and the hosts supplied milk, eggs, tea and coffee as well as some tasty welsh cakes. The kitchen was also very good and well equipped. Bob and Sue were very friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. The cottage was in lovely surroundings with very little light or noise pollution which made for a relaxing atmosphere.................
Overall an excellent property."
June 2016 "Just to say we had a really lovely holiday at Horsegames Barn. The owners were excellent hosts and we will certainly return there. The weather was just fantastic which always helps and we loved Herefordshire."
December 2015 "The accommodation in Horsegames Barn was perfect, very comfortable, plenty of wood for the wood burner. Very good directions to get there. Flexible on times for leaving on the Sunday and very reasonably priced compared to other lets during the xmas period." (CHL owners usually try to flex arrival and leaving times if the calendar permits)
July 2015 "I really enjoyed my stay in Horsegames Barn … as did my visitor from Hong Kong. The barn is very well appointed indeed, and the kitchen, lounge, and bedrooms are perfect for a rural retreat.
The quietness of the Presteigne-Kington area is blissful, and the local Horsegames Barn site was nicely punctuated by loquacious lambs-on-the-run and by contented blackbirds-in-song.
.......the wonderful house sitter (looking after the site's main residence while the owners were away) was a wonderful help … as was the equally congenial and helpful cleaner and her I'll-be-round-in-a-jiffy husband!!
....... The owners had kindly arranged for some richly appreciated goodies on arrival … viz., the tea / coffee / milk / bread / crispy date cake … which was most welcome (especially the latter)!! All in all, it was a wonderful study-break in Offa's Dyke Country. Thank you.... and Barn Owners!!....."
October 2014 "We had a fantastic break at Horsegames Barn and Sue and Bob Thompson could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We are hoping to return again before too long."
June 2014 "We could not fault the service from Country Holiday Lets. The property was clean, bright, a great size and had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable family friendly stay. The owners made us feel so welcome and were always on hand should we need anything. Great secure green space out front for the young kids to play. Great location for getting away from it all. Would definitely recommend."
