The Granary is a converted barn, which is an annexe of the owners farmhouse. Parts of the barn date back to the 14th Century and it is a Grade 2 star listed property. It has been converted to an exceptionally high standard with central heating and a woodburner.
Parking for the Granary is at the front. Entering through the front door into a hallway the stairs are on the left with the kitchen/dining room straight ahead. To the right is the Utility room which houses the Washing Machine, Boiler, Iron and Ironing Board as well as a useful second sink. Next to the Utility room on the right is the main bathroom which has an over the bath shower, bath, wc and wash hand basin. The kitchen is fully fitted and has a stable door leading out to the patio area with the table and chairs convenient for outdoor socialising or just relaxing and enjoying the magnificent views.
At the top of the stairs is the Sitting Room which has comfortable seating arranged around the woodburner. The first basket of logs are provided and further baskets can be supplied if needed for a nominal charge. There is a small balcony area off the sitting room which overlooks the farmyard with distant views, again with a stable door. The bedroom is off the sitting room and has lovely views over the hill and pasture at the rear of the Granary. There is a cloakroom off the bedroom which has a wc and wash hand basin.
The Granary is very well insulated with central heating making it a great place to visit throughout the year. Quality duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are provided.
We are sorry but as the Granary is on a working sheep Farm with their own working dogs, pets are not allowed at this property.

May 2017 "What a beautiful place the restoration is amazing. Everything is catered for and you wanted for nothing. I certainly hope we can stay again. The views and wildlife were in abundance so peaceful (apart from the sheep and their lambs) but even the sound of them was great to listen to. It was just so relaxing."

October 2016 "We had a lovely holiday at The Granary, thanks for asking. The owners have thought of everything and made this a real home away from home. We received a very welcome from Jan on our arrival and there was tea and cake waiting for us in the kitchen. The Granary is fitted to a very high standard and so spacious, ideal for two people. We were very lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time walking but even one the two days it rained we had no issues staying inside - there is more than enough space and seating both in the living room upstairs as well as downstairs in the kitchen. We will surely visit again."

August 2016 "We had a wonderful relaxing time, away from it all, at The Granary, and couldn’t fault it. Jan and John Nichols were lovely friendly people and had thought of everything. All the little comforts of home; and the building itself was fantastic.
We had to just keep looking at the beams and admiring the architecture. What a beautiful, quality restoration. The seating area overlooking the fields was great, and we really enjoyed just sitting quietly watching and listening to the variety of birds flying overhead and on the feeders. Such a peaceful location.
The milk and cake on arrival were greatly appreciated, as were the lilies. Thank you so much for such a high quality holiday home - a home from home, and at a great price."

The house is just gorgeous, everything you need for a self catering break was on hand - even down to tea towels, cheese grater and a bottle opener!
