On the Herefordshire/Worcestershire borders, Peacock Cottage is a former farm building which has been converted into an extremely comfortable cottage. Next to the farmhouse, although completey separate, the owner's mixed dairy farm and pedigree herd give this cottage a real feeling of living on a farm and the rural life without the hard work! Set in the 500 acres of beautiful farmland, it is the perfect spot for birdwatching, relaxing or exploring the countryside. Herefordshire is a great area for walking and cycling and with miles of bridleways, wonderful horse riding country. Stables are available locally. For those of you keen on fishing there are 2 Carp ponds for coarse fishing, completely private and not open to the public (this needs to be notified in advance but no extra charge). There are several towns a short drive away Bromyard, Leominster, Worcester, Hereford, Ledbury, Ludlow and Tenbury Wells, all with historic interest. For ideas on walks and visits see our Things to do for Free page. Peacock Cottage is an ideal place to stay if you want to visit the Nozstock Festival which is not far away and happens at the end of July each year.
This is an idyllic country retreat, any time of the year, there is plenty to see and do. Visit our Events Calendar , Attractions and Where to Eat pages for more ideas.

Opening into a small hallway, there is a cupboard for hanging coats, which leads into a bright open plan living room. There is an open plan kitchen/dining area with a fully fitted oak kitchen which is very well equipped, perfect if you want to cook from scratch or merely a takeaway. Off this area is the staircase leading to the bedroom which has a super kingsize bed that can be converted to a twin on request, this has a shower room across the landing, the landing has space for a cot (not provided). There is a corridor linking the kitchen/dining area and the sitting room, this has a WC and wash hand basin.
Peacock Cottage has a private patio to the rear with a pretty garden and views over the farmland. In addition to the traditional style table and chairs for dining there are two deckchairs for relaxing in and to enjoy an evening drink or breakfast al fresco.
