Hall House

Dymock is best known for the Dymock Poets . The display in the church is very informative and is worth having a look at. There are walks based around the Poets. Dymock along with it's neighbour Kempley are also known for it's wild daffodils and there are walks starting in Dymock to take advantage of this. The best time is usually in Feb/March, one of the walks being the Daffodil Way .

Dymock is a small pretty village situated on the Gloucester to Leominster Road. The Beauchamp Arms   a lovely pub, central to the village is five minutes walk away from Hall House. The nearest local shop is also five minutes walk. Hall House, a beautiful Victorian building with high ceilings and lots of character is set back off the main road with a large garden to the rear.

Hall House is ideally situated to explore Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Ledbury is the the nearest small market town but just as close is the wonderful city of Gloucester with all of its shops and cathedral. Perfect for families there are lots of activities and attractions on the doorstep. AONB's easily reached are The Malvern Hills and The Wye Valley with fabulous walks, there are also a number of walks from the doorstep in Dymock.

For sports minded people there is Dymock Golf Club or Newent Golf Course   a short drive away. The International Centre for Birds of Prey   in Newent, a great for a day out with the children and so is Eastnor Castle   with its variety of events throughout the year. Ledbury is well worth a visit, with it's black and white houses, beautiful church, restaurants and independent shops, there is something for everyone. Ross on Wye , another market town to the south, has a variety of shops and historic buildings; a 13th century Church and a 17th century Market House. Ross overlooks the River Wye and is very picturesque a great day out.

Description

Hall House is attached to the owner's house, but has a completely seperate entrances. The accommodation is split over two levels. There are two entrances to Hall House, one through the kitchen and the other, a side entrance, taking you into a lobby. Off the lobby are the downstairs bedroom, shower room and main Sitting/Dining Area. The kitchen entrance is the nearest to the road, parking is at the side of Hall House and can accommodate one car.  The kitchen is light and bright and fully fitted with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Leading off the kitchen is the main Sitting/Dining room, this room is the real wow factor with the seating arranged around a fantastic woodburner, double height ceiling and a huge window flooding the room with light. In one corner is the spiral staircase leading to the mezzanine bedroom which overlooks the main room. Off the Sitting room is the door to the lobby and the side entrance. The downstairs shower room, with shower, wc and wash hand basin is to the right and the downstairs bedroom is straight ahead. The downstairs bedroom is again double height with a huge window letting in lots of light and overlooking the garden. The bedroom is en suite with a bath, hand held shower, wc and wash hand basin.

The private terrace area is beautiful and a lovely place to enjoy the sunshine, have a barbecue or dine al fresco.

For a family or a group of friends Hall House is perfect giving you the flexibility of accommodation to suit most needs.

An ideal base for those wanting to explore the area. Within an hours drive are some of the area's leading attractions: Hereford with the Cathedral and famous Mappa Mundi , Worcester with the cathedral and huge array of shops. Gloucester with the cathedral and famous docks area for designer shopping and array of restaurants. Hall House is in a great position to see all that the three surrounding counties have to offer, and for those wanting to explore further Mid Wales is within reach too.

Changeover days are any day of the week, short breaks are Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday. If you require a short break starting on other days please contact us to find out availability (minimum of 3 night stay).  A £100 security deposit will be requested on arrival as surety against any damages. This will be refunded by cheque within one week following an inspection after your departure,

Arrival after 4.00pm please and departure before 10.00am. All bookings carry a booking fee of £27.00, unless it is a repeat booking at the same cottage within three years, then there is no booking fee charge. If you are repeat booking you will need to ring to book on 01568 612467.
