Recent feedback shows our focus on quality and value:

(These are only a selection)

March 2017 "We enjoyed our holiday at The Parks Cottage very much indeed, ...... It was a most interesting cottage extremely well furnished and probably one of the best equipped that we have been to, and we have been to many including the National Trust and the Landmark Trust. The owners were most helpful in resolving a problem with the television as it appeared that the aerial had been moved by the recent storm Doris. We visited the cottage on the recommendation of some friends who live close by and who visited it very soon after it became available. We would recommend it to anyone.... "

March 2017 "We had a really lovely week at the Artists Retreat and would throughly recommend if you want a peaceful isolated holiday, bliss! Not far from interesting towns though and good walking area. Being able to order a supper delivered to your door on the first night by the owner is such a brilliant idea and very good value for money. Lovely start to the holiday. Our dog throughly enjoyed the safe secure garden space and the walks from the door. Only wish we could have stayed another week! Owners are such a lovely interesting couple. Very helpful but not intrusive. Thank you so much."

March 2017 "My wife and I had an excellent holiday at Coachmans Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable, the owner extremely helpful and welcoming, the location exceptional. We hope to go again at some point to see a different seasonal view......."

March 2017 "We had a great time thank you. Peony was perfect, not just lovely to look at but also having everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We loved the fact that we did not use the car all weekend. Beautiful countryside and relaxing walks. The pub did an amazing Sunday lunch to finish off our stay. We will most certainly come again!"

March 2017 The Lookout: "Lovely, warm and clean. Couldn't have been better really. Excellent cottage in an excellent location. Cannot fault it."

February 2017 "We had a lovely holiday in Pheasant Cottage and told the owners upon our departure. Quietly situated in a peaceful village. Bathrooms were super. Plenty of hot water and a central heating system that worked! Not that we needed on very much – the cottage was superbly insulated. Lovely views and great walks. Tastefully decorated. Would recommend."

February 2017 "Hi guys, just wanted to let you know we had a fantastic stay at Sunnyside. Thanks so much for all your help, it was well worth it!"

(This was a particularly challenging booking for us at CHL featuring 4 pets and a Thursday to Sunday stay.  We are grateful for the patience of the guests that things went well)

February 2017  Rose Cottage: "Just loved your beds, bedding and bed linen. So comfortable and we slept so well - and I have a bad back and never sleep well..... "

A remark from a recent stay at The Old Stables: "Thank you for your prompt reply we remember the house. We rented very well it was  a stunner."

December 2016 "A family gathering, 4 "siblings plus spouses", on a pre-Christmas get-together. I think this was the 8th time we have met thus; all were in agreement that the combination of location, en-suite bedrooms and a very well-equipped house will be hard to beat.
A friendly welcome, any extra kit needed readily to hand, amiable dogs for the dog lovers to schmooze with; we all had a great time! If we can persuade the London-dwelling pair to book a day off and leave early on the Friday (they had a bad experience of the M40) I think we'll be back.... "  The Barn

November 2016 "The booking process was very efficient. I was able to speak to a gentleman who personally knew Lawn House and was able to answer some questions I had. I received immediate confirmation of the booking and information about the house along with directions from the owner.
....We have just returned from 11 wonderful nights at The Lawn House. Although not luxurious it is a very spacious and comfortable house. It was clean and well prepared for our arrival and very well equipped with everything we needed. We loved the open fire which provided a very cosy place to gather round of an evening.. .... All in all we had a really great stay at the Lawn house, we hope to return if visiting this area in the future and would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet country holiday."

October 2016 "We had a lovely holiday at The Granary, thanks for asking. The owners have thought of everything and made this a real home away from home. We received a very welcome from Jan on our arrival and there was tea and cake waiting for us in the kitchen. The Granary is fitted to a very high standard and so spacious, ideal for two people. We were very lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time walking but even one the two days it rained we had no issues staying inside - there is more than enough space and seating both in the living room upstairs as well as downstairs in the kitchen. We will surely visit again."

October 2016 "Another lovely stay at this cosy cottage, owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Very peaceful and scenic surrounding's make for a very enjoyable break." Horsegames Barn

September 2016 "East Barn has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard. It felt like a home for home with all the creature comforts you could wish for. We like staying outside the cities/towns, when holidaying, as we find it more peaceful and relaxing and Caynham didn't disappoint in that respect. However Ludlow is only a few miles away so it's an easy trip into town whenever you need to. Shropshire is a lovely county with lots to see and do. We will definitely stay at East Barn again when we decide to explore some more."

September 2016 "We had an absolutely wonderful short break in the Old Threshing Barn. The most well equipped accommodation we have ever stayed in (and we have stayed in a lot)! The gardens were superb - Richard and Cary were very friendly and helpful - the dogs and cats were very well behaved - a property in a superb location and only five minutes from Kington where there are excellent butchers and bakers and a choice of supermarkets. We will certainly be back."

September 2016 "My wife and I had a very enjoyable week, the accommodation was fist class, somewhat more remote than we anticipated but beautiful and peaceful never the less. We would definitely recommend "Mollys Barn" for a chill out break."
