Fed-up with Feedback

A restauranteur feels badly treated by alleged unjust feedback, as reported by the Daily Telegraph. Such negotiating methods are far from uncommon. The Telegraph Article December 14 2016.  Large brands such as Trip Advisor, AirBnB and Uber readily draw press attention and, from time to time, they find size is not such a good marketing asset, whatever the rights or wrongs.

We now have around 9002 Twitter Followers and 3064 on our sister web site:  We are giving Wyndham Worldwide brand Twitter account a run for its money. The combination of both our sites is 1,200 more. A small regional agency for Hereford cottages and Shropshire Cottages appears to be doing radically well compared to vastly larger booking service with hundreds of employees. 21 November 2016

A remark from a recent stay: "Thank you for your prompt reply we remember the house (The Old Stables) we rented very well it was  a stunner."

December 2016 "We very much enjoyed our stay at Pheasant Cottage. It was clean, warm and cosy. Sally and Neil, our hosts, provided home made mince pies and pickled walnuts when we arrived, and also holly and ivy with which to “deck the hall”!
The cottage was very quiet and peaceful, and was a good base for exploring the surrounding countryside. We visited Ironbridge, the Stiperstones, the Long Mynd and Shrewsbury. We have no hesitation in recommending Pheasant Cottage for a pleasant stay in the country."

December 2016 "We had an wonderful first stay at The Parks Cottage celebrating New Year. It is extremely spacious and accomodated two families of four and two dogs perfectly. The cottage is stylish, well equipped and has amazing views from the lounge window down to the valley. We walked over the fields from the cottage with the children into Presteigne. There are a number of shops in the village including a supermarket and a couple of good pubs that also welcome dogs.
The fact the cottage is Eco friendly makes it even more impressive. Cosy wood burner, powerful showers and very warm underfloor heating. The photos do not do the house justice. We met Dorothy the owner who was more than helpful and greeted us on arrival and showed us around. The owners live very nearby but left us to our own devices. Thank you for sharing your very special cottage with us. We would defintely like to visit again soon."

December 2016 "A family gathering, 4 "siblings plus spouses", on a pre-Christmas get-together. I think this was the 8th time we have met thus; all were in agreement that the combination of location, en-suite bedrooms and a very well-equipped house will be hard to beat.
A friendly welcome, any extra kit needed readily to hand, amiable dogs for the dog lovers to schmooze with; we all had a great time! If we can persuade the London-dwelling pair to book a day off and leave early on the Friday (they had a bad experience of the M40) I think we'll be back.... "  The Barn

December 2016 "The Old Stables was just perfect for our family pre Christmas get together. We settled in so quickly. Our real Christmas tree from home looked stunning in the hall and was worth the effort getting it in the car! The children hung up stockings on the stairs and it was just magical in the morning with all the opening and excitement round the tree. We cooked a full Christmas dinner on the Saturday and there was everything we needed.

The children loved the space, the music/games room and the younger ones played in the lovely little Wendy house in the garden. The house was warm and cosy and just lovely for us all. The weather on the Sunday was dry and sunny and we managed a short walk up into the hills - the views were amazing and the sunset in the evening was gorgeous. It's a perfect house for a big family or group gathering - a huge home from home."

November 2016 "The booking process was very efficient. I was able to speak to a gentleman who personally knew Lawn House and was able to answer some questions I had. I received immediate confirmation of the booking and information about the house along with directions from the owner.
....We have just returned from 11 wonderful nights at The Lawn House. Although not luxurious it is a very spacious and comfortable house. It was clean and well prepared for our arrival and very well equipped with everything we needed. We loved the open fire which provided a very cosy place to gather round of an evening.. .... All in all we had a really great stay at the Lawn house, we hope to return if visiting this area in the future and would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet country holiday."

November 2016 "We very much enjoyed our stay at the Artists Retreat.
The property was as described and the owner very courteous and helpful........ We love that part of Shropshire and would unhesitatingly recommend the property to people in search of peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings.
The location and wildlife is just magnificent."

October 2016 "We had a lovely stay in Rose Cottage. The property was very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. It was very peaceful but close enough to the town to get shopping and lots of nice places to visit. There was a very nice park in town to exercise the 2 dogs.

We would recommend this property and would very much like to return in the future."

October 2016 "We had a lovely holiday at The Granary, thanks for asking. The owners have thought of everything and made this a real home away from home. We received a very welcome from Jan on our arrival and there was tea and cake waiting for us in the kitchen. The Granary is fitted to a very high standard and so spacious, ideal for two people. We were very lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time walking but even one the two days it rained we had no issues staying inside - there is more than enough space and seating both in the living room upstairs as well as downstairs in the kitchen. We will surely visit again."

October 2016 "Another lovely stay at this cosy cottage, owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Very peaceful and scenic surrounding's make for a very enjoyable break." Horsegames Barn

October 2016 "Hi,yes we did enjoy The Lookout, especially the wonderful views and quiet. It was very clean, the family friendly and welcoming,a great woodburner and our bed fantastically comfortable! Directions were v clear too, thankyou."

September 2016 "East Barn has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard. It felt like a home for home with all the creature comforts you could wish for. We like staying outside the cities/towns, when holidaying, as we find it more peaceful and relaxing and Caynham didn't disappoint in that respect. However Ludlow is only a few miles away so it's an easy trip into town whenever you need to. Shropshire is a lovely county with lots to see and do. We will definitely stay at East Barn again when we decide to explore some more."

September 2016 "We had an absolutely wonderful short break in the Old Threshing Barn. The most well equipped accommodation we have ever stayed in (and we have stayed in a lot)! The gardens were superb - Richard and Cary were very friendly and helpful - the dogs and cats were very well behaved - a property in a superb location and only five minutes from Kington where there are excellent butchers and bakers and a choice of supermarkets. We will certainly be back."

September 2016 "My wife and I had a very enjoyable week, the accommodation was fist class, somewhat more remote than we anticipated but beautiful and peaceful never the less. We would definitely recommend "Mollys Barn" for a chill out break."

September 2016 "Longbarn was great, lovely cottage and lovely host. The area is delightful and we would recommend both the area and the cottage to all and sundry."

September 2016 "We had a lovely week thank you, Jenny was extremely friendly and helpful going out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. Honeysuckle was very comfortable, clean and well equipped and of course the view is stunning........ "
