This largely unknown, unspoilt area full of original black and white cottages and more modern copies, offers some of the best countryside that Britain has to offer. This rural area relies mainly on farming and tourism and so has not changed much through the years. There is a huge number of black and white cottages that have been the same for 400 years. The feeling is one of history and beautiful landscapes a real snapshot of country life. Regular farmers' markets, antique shops, horse riding, fine dining, something for everyone make it a place to visit.

Our cottages
Our holiday cottages are in Hereford, Shropshire and near-by areas have many sights, events, attractions and things to do, (location map). They are suitable for families, couples and other groups. They do not compromise on standards. Whether you are interested in staying in towns such as Ludlow, Bishops Castle, Knighton, Hay on Wye or the surrounding countryside, we have something to suit. Children are welcome and can be accommodated in many of our inviting cottages, often with their own garden. Over 1,000 events are listed day by day, making it easy for you to plan and get the most from your stay.
Quality, service and value
All holiday lets are personally inspected and cottages are chosen because they are good quality, value for money, clean and welcoming. Our aim is to make sure you enjoy your stay so much that you will come back and book with us time and time again. We are a regional service and not part of any large national or international organisation. You can get personal attention, directly from people who have an intimate knowledge of all our holiday lets and their owners.
Activities
Try your hand at canoeing down the River Wye, fly kites on Clee Hill, fish at one of the many pools or rivers in the area. Enjoy five star dining in Ludlow or visit the book capital of Hay on Wye. Explore the stunning beauty of South Herfordshire and the Ross on Wye area or simply explore the sites and beauty of the country at your leisure. Our region is very popular with cyclists. We provide a useful guide on what there is on offer which is easy to use, you will be surprised how much there is going on in this little known, peaceful area. Making the right choice means not only finding out about the cottage you pick but all about the area you are visiting to get the best from your break.
