Confidence continues to recover. The sheer quality of new cottages joining us is remarkable. There's no doubt that there has never been such good value for guests. East Barn is one example of top quality and value. But the recovery comes with nuances and patterns of supply and demand can be quite complicated. This is explained on a blog on our sister web site Holiday Lets for Sale: Cottage Market patterns 2015. Aspects of Supply and Demand.
We aim for all our cottages to be as pleasing. Recent feedbacks include:
"We absolutely thoroughly enjoyed staying at Hope Cottage. Beautiful place attention to detail everything you could possibly want or need has been thought about. We are still talking about it so I think that tells you everything you need to know.I cannot recommend this highly enough such a pleasure to stay there." July 2014
Artist's Retreat is the perfect spot to unwind! We were pleasantly welcomed by our hostess Judy Cox who showed us everything we needed to know to be comfortable during our stay. There was a complimentary bottle of extremely good quality spanish wine & a roaring log fire in the burner to greet us. The king size double bed is extremely comfortable & the view out of the window of the birds, squirrels & pheasants activities around the feeder was a delightful show to wake up to.
The shower is hot & powerful, which for us is always an important feature. Her husband is an internationally renowned stone sculptor & consequently the whole garden is a filled with beautiful examples of his work.
We had a very pleasant stay." January 2015
"I have been staying at Long Barn Cottage for 30 years and loved it so much that I decided to move to the area. Long Barn is a very comfortable barn conversion. It offers everything you could wish for in a rural setting. You will find peace and quiet in a homey atmosphere, full of character and with all mod.cons. There is beautiful scenery all around and it is ideally situated for walking Offa's Dyke and the beautiful Welsh Marches and enjoying the many activities that go on there for all ages. The only downside is that you can't stay there for ever!" 2014
The Old Stables "For the last dozen or so summers Ann and I have been renting a largish house for as many of our children/grandchildren as care to join us. We are all agreed that The Old Stables is the best of these houses, and this is discounting the rosy glow that a week of excellent weather sheds on the experience......As for improvements it is difficult to suggest any. One slightly wider approach road would be good but perhaps a double-edged sword, even if achievable. My research physicist son, inspecting the range of fruit pitting devices in the kitchen drawer, commented on the lack of a pair of silver grape scissors, as used in his Oxford Senior Common Room. Suffice it to say The Old Stables is a superb holiday house. Our attitude is summed up by my 7 year old grandson, who very reluctant to leave, said "Why don't we buy the house?" August 2014
"The Granary is a beautifully and immaculately restored property adjacent to the owners farmhouse with lovely views and a lot of sheep for company! It is situated in a most beautiful and and unspoilt part of the country with so much to see and do we ran out of time. The Granary is very well equipped and is warm and cosy, close to pubs and shops, yet far enough away for peace and quiet. The owners Jan and John are warm and welcoming but not obtrusive. We had a lovely holiday and hope to return in the spring." September 2014
"We had a lovely time, Honeysuckle was as advertised and the hosts very welcoming. We couldn’t find any fault and in fact we were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen was so well equipped. There was plenty to read and watch on dvd and games were provided. The owners were friendly without being intrusive and watching the dog bounding through the field in the morning was a delight." September 2014
